Each therapy is offered in 30, 60 and 90 minute appointments. *
All services offered require the client to travel to my studio. Because I am the only therapist, couples massage is not available. * Reflexology is limited to 30 and 60 minute appointments.

Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than 24 hours from appointment time will receive a refund minus a $20 service fee.

This therapy takes the body work to a deeper level to clear areas of muscular tension and stress. The depth of this touch is stronger into the deeper layers of muscle tissue and fascia. Specific techniques focus on releasing painful trigger point areas that restrict mobility and strength.

Foot reflexology has its origins in ancient oriental bodywork. Reflex points in the feet correspond to various organs and structures of the body. Crystal-like deposits form around these reflex points. Bodywork using gentle circular strokes or using direct pressure will break up the crystal-like deposits around the reflex points. This therapy promotes optimal organ function, relaxation of the entire body and provides you with a wonderful state of being.

Amethyst Biomat 7000 MX
Canyon Massage and Bodywork provides each client with the wonderful experience of far infrared heat while they receive their bodywork.
The Biomat is very different from a standard heating pad. It does not contain coils or any point sources of heat so it does not present the practical dangers associated with heating pads it also has EMF protection built-in. And yet, the Biomat can transfer far more heat into the body compared to a heating pad. This is because the heat transfer is radiant not conductive. And since the heat is distributed evenly throughout the body, rather than just on the skin, there is great therapeutic value. The radiant heat is produced by hot Amethyst crystals that cover the surface of the mat. And there are settings to control the desired temperature of the Amethyst crystals. The Amethyst crystals are warmed by a flexible conductive heating plate which was developed originally by NASA in order to safely warm space stations and other space vehicles.
Far Infrared Light and Circulation
This is the same phenomenon as visible light, but the wavelength is longer, so we cannot detect it visually. As the wavelength increases, the light can penetrate more deeply, transferring heat very efficiently. This is why sunlight warms us to our bones. Far infrared rays are part of the electromagnetic spectrum that has been studied for various health benefits. It provides warmth and relaxation similar to the energy that radiates from the sun. These rays not only benefit muscles on the surface of the body, but all cells in body tissues in the deepest parts of the body. The warm stimulating waves temporarily increase local circulation. This deep tissue heating relaxes the muscles and tissue surrounding the joints relieving pain and discomfort.
Amethyst
Natural crystals convert conductive heat into far infrared light very efficiently. Indeed, all infrared products rely on some kind of crystalline material for this reason, but some products use ceramic or graphite. Natural crystals have long been used for healing purposes, across many different cultures, and there could be a scientific basis for this practice, yet to be discovered.
Recommended for athletes, the elderly, disabled, carpenters, office workers, construction workers, or anyone that has a physically demanding job. The biomat is a registered FDA medical device making it suitable for use in hospitals and therapeutic clinics. It is easy to use and safe to operate.
DoTERRA essential oils
Canyon Massage and Bodywork uses doTERRA essential oils to enhance the benefits of bodywork. The oils can be applied directly to the skin and/or combined in your massage cream during each appointment. Each client is offered to choose the essential oils they find benefit them. If the client is unsure about their choice of oil’s, your therapist will guide you in your selection.

Inside many plants – hidden in roots, seeds, flowers, and bark-are concentrated highly potent chemical compounds. These natural compounds are essential oils.
Essential oils give a plant it’s scent, protect it from hazardous environmental conditions, and even assist it with pollination, among other important functions and benefits.
How do essential oils work?
When you open a bottle of pure, unadulterated essential oil, your senses are instantly filled with its potent aroma, even from a distance. What your nose detects are the naturally occurring elements of the essential oil.
Every essential oil varies in its natural make up, so aromas and benefits are also unique. For example, lavender oil includes elements that make it effective for soothing skin irritations, reducing anxiousness and feelings of tension, and promoting a restful environment for sleep.
Meanwhile, when taken internally, frankincense oil supports immune, nervous, and digestive systems and aids in healthy cellular function.
Some essential oils are soothing, toning, and grounding, while others are energizing, warming, and renewing – but all essential oils are natural.
The purity of an essential oil is its most important characteristic. When an essential oil is adulterated or contaminated, it becomes less effective and can even be dangerous. Above all else, purity is the doTERRA is first priority when producing essential oils. To ensure that each bottle of essential oil is pure and free from contaminants or synthetic fillers, doTERRA created the CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade protocol. The CPTG process includes a rigorous examination of every batch of oil, along with third-party testing to guarantee transparency. DoTERRA begins the CPTG testing process shortly after distillation, when each oil is reviewed for its chemical composition. The doTERRA production facility carries out a second round of testing to ensure that the oil is distilled and tested during the first round are the same ones that arrived at their facility. A third review of the chemistry of the oils is conducted as the oils are packaged into bottles before they are shipped out to consumers.
